2023

2023 has concluded with a capstone reading of her Minnesota State Arts Board project at Red Wing Arts. Su Love is a fiscal year 2023 recipient of a Creative Support for Individuals grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature; and by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Dec. 9, 11:00 am. Red Wing Arts presents “What We’re Left With: Poems of the Nuclear Age,” Sarah Childs and Su Love. Red Wing Arts – Clay Center, Red Wing MN. June 5th – 6th, 2021. April Sellers Dance Collective at Caponi Art Park premiered Rumble Strips, a dance experience with text adapted from The Memoir of Mona Lisa.  

December 13, 2019. 7:00 pm. Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts, curated by Michael Kleber-Diggs. Reading of all 14 sections that make up the title poem of The Memoir of Mona Lisa, with guest readers Michael Kleber-Diggs and Sara Dovre-Wudali.

Su Smallen is the author of Weight of Light (Laurel Poetry Collective), nominated for thePushcart Press Editor’s Book Award, and Buddha, Proof(Broadcraft Press) a Minnesota Book Award 2012 finalist. Other awards  include the Jane Kenyon Poetry Prize. Su’s poems and essays appear in  many journals, anthologies, and chapbooks, notably Midway Journal, Water~Stone Review, Collecting Life, and Body of Evidence.

Athena Kildegaard is the author of three books of poetry, Rare Momentum, Bodies of Light (a Minnesota Book Award finalist), and Cloves & Honey. Her poems have appeared in such journals as Cream City Review, Malahat Review, Tar River Poetry, Mid-American Review, Faultline, and in several anthologies. She is the recipient of the LRAC/McKnight  Fellowship and grants from the Lake Region Arts Council and the  Minnesota State Arts Board. Kildegaard teaches at the University of  Minnesota, Morris.
