Joanne Diaz, gifted poet and professor of English at Illinois Wesleyan University, is the author of two poetry collections: My Favorite Tyrants, winner of the Brittingham Prize, and The Lessons, winner of the Gerald Cable first book award. Diaz co-edited Literature: A Portable Anthology, Reading and Writing about Literature: A Portable Guide, and The Little Magazine in Contemporary America and she co-hosts the wildly successful podcast Poetry for All.
